Archilles

Archilles, a four-member band from a little town called Cochrane, beside the cultural beast, Calgary, Alberta. They started as just a jam band, but soon realized the potential to make it in the industry, they decided to go serious, and write their own material. With all of the new music out, the boys decided to utilize the new sound, with a twist on classic rock. The ripping guitars, quick drumbeats, smooth bass lines, and seductive vocals, the band refuses to let go of the old, but understands the need for a new sound. The band recorded their first full length EP, with no vocals in the summer of 2006. They soon realized the potential in lead guitarist Kevin Glass's voice in 2007. The band consists of four members, Alex Dimopoulos (age 18), Kevin Glass (age 18), Dan Kramps (age 18) and the powerhouse, Ananda Cote (age 20). The band originally formed in 2002, with another bassist Matt Hlidek and drummer Sean Gorman. In 2008 switched out for Dan Kramps and Ananda Cote to unite the four-front and bring about a new, clean-cut, harmonic fusion to the legendary material already placed under thier belts. Unable to decide on a name that is enjoyed by all, it was soon decided, by accident, that it be called Archilles. Since the name was out, the songs were being played, the band was rolling.
