Ashley chose to stay true to her voice and vision by self-titling her career,that she has been building since she was a young girl. Ashley's voice brings to the stage a sense of realism, and an innocent in her modesty that is not only refreshing but sincere. Her style shows her confidence and the independence in her lyrics and her vocal ability is to be compared to the great Carly Simon. Ashley's music is one that relies on talent and confident lyrics, rather then a career based on image alone. She has found her unique voice in the sea of similarity and image based careers, and as she continues to grow within the industry she holds true to her values, and wishes that he music makes the impression, being the virtual role model rather than an industry based image. Ashley is quite adamant on the ideals that she has been taught personally and professionally, and hopes that she can portray to her fans a positive image as her career grows. In writing Ashley draws from topics that are apart of her world, personal experience, and the world around her. In doing so she attempts to bring her audience into the songs and allowing them to attach themselves musically, emotionally and personally. She is an open book and is willing to read the pages that create her songs, make her who she is, and bring life to those moments that we all endure, encounter and overcome. Ashley Dube is a voice and talent to be reckoned with.
