Atom Wenzel and Mat Klucznyk formed Attalea in the summer of 2007, when Mat left his old band. It all started one day when they were talking about how freaking amazing music is. They then decided they wanted to put their love, passion and past experiences into music that they enjoyed. Mat and Atom had many musical influences ranging from The Spill Canvas to A Day To Remember. Atom was a big acoustic guitar fan and wanted to pursue a band with an acousticy smooth feel. Mat felt he wanted a change from his previous style band. From then on Attalea was formed. After the first 2 practices they had 3 songs written, an average recording, and their first show. Attalea is a hard working band, that loves writing music. On December 2nd, Attalea released their first self-produced demo titled 'chapters'. It is available at every Attalea show, or by getting in contact with them via myspace/purevolume. Stay tuned for big things from this hard working band.
