BIOGRAPHY:
Quickly making their mark, turning heads, dropping jaws and burning lasting images into the minds of shocked audiences, Awaking State is demanding attention and getting it everywhere. Fast on the upswing, their innovative sound blends the best of industrial, alternative rock, electronica and drums'n'bass into a new, yet still uncategorized genre-bending style. All of this is being received with a ferocity and hunger normally reserved only for the biggest names in both the rock world and underground club culture. Those who are lucky enough to have seen them live will tell you, this is just the beginning.

With the band?s second studio EP quickly approaching, due out late 2009, is backed with the full support and total faith of one of music's most recognizable rock music Producers. This legendary producer has been the behind the scenes force for bands like Tool, System of a Down, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Powerman 5000, Fugees, Jewel, Dave Navarro, Bjork, Beck, Blur and countless others. With names like that we can only be talking about one person, the Grammy Award winning mega-Producer Sylvia Massy who has been and continues to be one of the most successful major players in rock music for the last 20 years. Sylvia was approached personally on a long-shot by the band a year and a half ago to do work for Awaking State's first release, a five track EP titled "Into the Machine" (?2008) and pounced on the project with explosive enthusiasm and a fearless disregard for hesitation, and has been a fan of the band ever since.

To garnish such high praise, support and respect from one of the world's greatest Music producers has sent the boys and girl from Awaking State into frenzied state of hyper-drive over the last year and a half. The bands accomplishments so early on in their career has seen them take the stage with some of the biggest names in music today, turning this fledgling basement project into an unstoppable force that's unmistakable. Wherever they grace the stage, Awaking State continues to condense stadium sized energy and charisma into concentrated blast of sonic mayhem, in the packed-out-the-door clubs they play in every time, leaving lasting impressions and turning unsuspecting bystanders into hungry, rabid fans. Even in harsh Canadian blizzards and storms of the century, their fans still come out in record numbers to catch their constantly evolving live show.

Everyday Awaking State is evolving into things much greater than they appear to be. With every show bigger than the last, every release more complex and refined than the previous and every new fan seemingly hungrier and more excited then the one before, it's clear that the band has stumbled onto something stronger and more meaningful then it ever could have intended in the beginning.

The live shows and the new record are getting harder, faster, louder, larger, grander, more aggressive, more abrasive, complex, bigger, better, original and unique from here on out, as no band is more determined to systematically tear down the walls that have been put up and burn the global stage to the ground.
