The Reinforcements is a band based in Kingston Ontario. During the summer of 2011, bassist/vocalist Arlen Duquette and guitarist/vocalist Hugh Bakhurst became friends and began jamming with each other. Once they put together a score of songs, they began to look for "reinforcements" to start a band. By October 2011 they recruited guitarist Maxime Peabody along with drummer Iain McLean to complete the line up as a four piece. By December of that same year, the boys reached out to Hugh's good friend vocalist Mac Stewart, added him along with Iain's good friend Tyler Flynn, a keyboardist/bassist and multi-instrumentalist turning the group into a six piece. Unfortunatley, by mid Decemeber 2011, members Arlen Duquette and Maxime Peaobody left the band on good terms due to other daily activities and other musical tastes. The band is currently a four piece in search of another guitarist. The band had it's first show at the K.C.V.I. Holiday Show, wiht guest vocalist Sam Bidinost who continues to guest sing with the group to this day. Each member of The Reinforcements has his own favourite artists and genres but enjoys experimenting with many genres such as Punk, Funk, Indie, Rock, and Alternative. Look out for The Reinforcements in their upcoming local shows (next show at Time to Laugh on February 25th) as they look to add depth to the Kingston music scene!
