Blaming Taylor

Blaming Taylor was founded by Vancouver musicians Kris Langemann, and Peter Orlowski back in 2005 as an acoustic duo performing at various venues around town. Since releasing a self titled EP in 2008, Kris (vocals and guitar) and Pete (percussion) have added two more talented players in the mix. Shane Hayes (bass and vocals) and Nick Hope (drums and vocals) have added an element of creativity in writing and performing that has truly pushed the project to the next level. While listing influences such as Sublime, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, and Michael Franti, BT has a sound that is always evolving and distinctly their own. Blaming Taylor's live show is receiving an overwhelming response from every audience they play for. With Kris’ soaring vocals set against sounds of Reggae, ska, hints of rhythm and blues, a lush background of upbeat guitar and diverse percussive elements, Blaming Taylor's music is vibrant, positive, uplifting, and enjoyed by people of all walks. The band is currently recording their first full length album which is set to release in the fall of 2010. They are regularly trying out new material and continuing to build their loyal fan base, sharing the stage with some of Vancouver’s best, including Daniel Wesley, Econoline Crush, and The Left.
