Brooklyn Rage

Brooklyn Rage consists of 3 members: David Cressy (Vocalist, Guitarist), Anton Bop (Vocalist,Bassist and Zuhair Zaidi (Drums) In February of 2007 3 pissed of teens decided to start a band. After listening to many of the bands from the 1980's hardcore movement they knew what type of sound they were looking for. The band practiced every Saturday at David's house practicing cover songs. On May 31st 2007 Brooklyn Rage played their first show under the name Castaway at Jacksonstock. They continued to use the name Castaway until the end of 2008.It was held by A.Y Jackson High School. After the success they had at Jacksonstock they decided to book another show, this time at Toronto's famous El Mocambo. The event took place on August 1st 2007 and was in a Battle Of The Bands format. Brooklyn Rage placed 2nd overall in the event and won 200 free pins with the band logo printed on them. This show was also where they got to debut their first song "I'll Never Grow Up". The show turned out to be another huge success and they booked one more show at the El Mocambo for December 15th 2007. The December 15th show was also in a Battle Of The Bands format and Brooklyn Rage found success once again being voted the fan favourite by online voters. The show also had a great turn out. Many people managed to show up on the day of a snowstorm. After these shows Brooklyn Rage decided to take a break to work on some songs for an upcoming demo. Brooklyn Rage is now ready again to start playing shows around the Toronto area and plan too in the near future.
