After months of intense internet chatter, the most anticipated new super group of the decade, Chickenfoot, has been unveiled to North American audiences Friday (June 5th) on the new Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chilipepper drummer Chad Smith and Van Halen alumni Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar have made their live television debut as Chickenfoot, as well as released their highly anticipated debut CD on Friday, June 5th. While the band released three songs from the upcoming CD on their website (www.chickenfoot.us ) over the past few weeks and have played a handful of North American small venue "Road Test" dates, the Tonight Show appearance is the first time that the four respected musicians formally performed.
The Tonight Show appearance of Chickenfoot also gives Atlantic Canadian audiences a first glimpse of Chickenfoot, who will be appearing at the Canadian Forces Halifax Rock Fest On August 2nd, along side Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven and Sloan.
