Cadent

Cadent is composed of four strong and very talented members. The melodic singer/songwriter, guitar player Nick Light, whose lyrics and guitar riffs add a much needed depth and personality to the band's overall sound. The hard hitting guitar solos and lead riffs of guitarist Colton Potter, the melodic and entertaining punk styled bass playing of Jesse Macklin. And last but not least, Cam Bedard, whose amazing sense of time and drumming skills, bind the threads of the music together. Cadent has been working very hard writing, practicing and playing shows ever since the band was formed in late 2007. Changes have been made in the process though, former drummer Austin Tallman was forced to leave the band in June 2008, and with his exit, he took his punk edge and the band's old name Deadline with him. Also Devin Kavanagh left the band regarding Cadent's future itself, with his exit he took his carefree attitude and solid bass skills with him. Since then Cadent has gained Cam Bedard and Jesse Macklin, won Supernova's 'Summer Warfare' Battle of the Bands, and have recorded three tracks with Robert Janzen for they're upcoming album. With shows lined up for spring of 2009 and more recording sessions starting in March, look out for a full length album to be released early April. The album will be entitled 'Fates Pursuit', and will be a complete LP, so keep a look out for that when its finished.
