Biography

Catalyst formed in 2002 and exploded onto the rock scene of Western PA. The band recieved much assistance from the death metal act Baghead. The band has recieved a following because of its return to older metal (which seperates it from an overcrowded emo and hardcore scene), as well as the mastery of instrumentals obvious in its music. Catalyst has just released a four song demo, and recieved a spot on the unreleased Pennsylvania Metal Compilation Vol. II. The band will continue to promote its demo, play shows, court management, and write new material. Catalyst ultimately hopes to become a signed act and pump sincerity into today's increasingly synthetic rock scene.
