Straight out of the ghetto (not really) of Orillia, crazy kid Joash Mendoza created a little project he called Hymnal. An experimental venture, it began as a fusion of electronics and heavy music. The project wasn't to get anywhere and was simply a mere experiment. He messed around with samples, and drum loops to create a form of music. Although very primitive, the material showed promise.
As the years passed he fine tuned his skills and armed himself with new equipment (a new iMac). A new musical form was born.
Recruiting younger brother Jem to handle the axe, they re-recorded his Hymnal classic 'Scooter' along with other tunes. The classic sounds of the Nintendo were also added to the mix. The magical sounds of 8 Bit. The music fully formed being inspired by the catchy pop punk hooks, as well as the pounding breakdowns of hardcore, they fuse together sounds not heard before.
