**The Past 2000-2006** Since the beginning there have been many line-up changes, but the heart of the band has always been drummer Steve Lajeunesse (Laj), and front man/singer Jon Rioux (Pinner). Together since the start in 2000, they have watched band members come and go, under good terms and bad. But three bass players and two guitarists later they found bass player Neil Landry who came in and helped the band win the 2005 Canadian Band Slam which gave Defined the title ?Best Band in Northern Ontario? and a show at Canadian Music Week that same year. Good things started happening after the show at Canadian Music Week, free recording time, winning many ?battle of the bands? including two in North Bay, and also being able to play The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Canada, sharing the same stage as greats like The Tragically Hip and The Rolling Stones to name a few. **Present** Now located in Ottawa and with long time friend Dan Levis on lead guitar, Defined is in the pre-production stages of a new full length LP soon to be released. Until then, keep an eye and ear out for Defined coming to and destroying a stage near you soon! **Future** Only time will tell.
