Faint Reflection

The Band's roster solidified in January 2011, bringing the band's line up to five members. Auditions were completed in February 2011, and the band has been working in the studio to complete their 2 year, much anticipated record from Faint Reflection, entitled "Breaking The Silence" Mike Paolini (Lead Vocals) has been giving non stop excellence in his studio, and live work. Debut launch tour T.B.A Biography Dec 2009: Getting Started Faint Reflection: A Hard Rock Indy project originally formed in late 2009, by founding members Mark Fitz (Guitars), and Joni Taupier (Drums). Automatically, the two united in musical fusion, by spending countless hours writing and composing demo tracks, in order to attract and scout the right musicians to move our project forward. After both Joni and Mark agreeing to allow the general public to review our samples, the positive feed back received on the 7 track demo disk had surpassed our expectations. Although critics went both ways, the majority of hits and comments had inspired us to take things to another level. Joni and Mark had up'd the anti, and decided to conduct a full out studio production to enhance our audience, and attract "live" pro musicians to head up our founding project. April 2010: Faint Reflection seeks Professional Label In the spring of 2009, Mark Fitz had been in contact with various labels and producers looking to find the right sound for our 7 track demo, and also to be recreated into a radio friendly and marketable investment. After many meetings with several talented producers, Mark Fitz had his eye on one producer in particular. This producer goes by the name of Mike Dmitrovich, Founder of the well known studio productions: Voodoo Records. Although Mike D had a long distinguished list of clientele, and Voodoo Label successors touring abroad, Mike D still found the time for a meeting, to discuss establishing and crafting this project beyond "the garage". Mike D, Quote "Don't saturate the industry with artists that aren't serious about their craft. We're either going to do this 100%, or nothing at all...so if you're not that person... don't waste my time" After those kind words from Mike D, we knew he was all about business. Joni and Mark signed the recording, and marketing contract to Voodoo Records as a current "two piece" group. :s May 2010: Drum Tracking, Voodoo Records In Late May, after all the red tape was cleared and contracts were signed and initialed, it was time to commence Mike D's production of Faint Reflection. After 6 weeks of sleepless nights, and consistent 14 hour drum tracking sessions, we had created an original percussion master piece. It was well worth the stress of not sleeping and still holding down a full time job. (See video footage) coming soon. August 2010: Bass/ Guitar Tracking, Voodoo Records After Mike D had finished adding the final touches on the drum tracks, we were ready to start creating guitars sounds. Before starting guitars, Mike D and Mark Fitz sat in a pre production meeting, trying to find Faint Reflections signature guitar tones. Once established, Mark Fitz commenced guitar tracks, with the professional coaching of Mike D to create many guitar "hooks" The chemistry between Mike D's expertise, and Mark Fitz's guitar techniques, it was incredible. Mike and Mark wrapped up "stage 1" guitars and kept raw at this time, to make room for the key component of the production "the vocals" (See Video Footage) Coming soon. December 2010: The Product Once the three basic elements of drums, stage 1 guitars, and bass were properly tracked, we now had something to "bait" our future band mates into joining the Faint Reflection production. Although, short a lead vocalist, lead guitarist and bassist, Joni and Mark were determined to find the right musicianship for the benefit of the band. Our adds had been running with samples of our project available, for serious musicians to consider our project. Joni and Mark ran auditions out of our rehearsal room since the new year, January 2011 scouting a lead vocalistl to head up this project. After over 34 auditions (not limiting our options) the amount of talent from Toronto has surpassed our expectations, and we have selected the following to join our group, and are still considering our vocalist options. (T.B.A March 2011) Ray Dahan, Bassist : Ray joins us here in Toronto, after showing great interest in Faint Reflection. After many auditions, trying to find the right fit, Ray hit all the elements needed to embark on the reveal of Faint Reflection. Ray's dedication to the band has not been overlooked, his easy going personality complemented by his unbelievable talent and devotion to his instrument has shaped the project to new levels. Mike Paolini, Lead Vocals: My joins us from Sudbury, Ontario where he has parted with his previous project: The Only Factor. Mike has toured across Canada, opening for big acts like: The Trews. We welcome Mike to Faint Reflection, as he will be our front man, heading up our project.
