Our Bio is Going to be pretty long, but whatever eh? people wanna know what "really" happened with bands. so heres our 'somewhat' successful story. Well this dates back, 4 years ago actually. Jordan Kootenay was nothing. no talent what so ever, only played sports. Didn't really speak to anyone cause, well, i guess you can call it a phase. One day, He decided to try out the guitar. turns out, he enjoyed it and wanted to pick it up. i can remember him telling me,"Hey! I'm Going to do this, two reasons. Get women, and get known out there." (laughs) well turns out, his wish is granted. So he did 3 years of practice and learning the music and theory and songs. Mainly metallica Songs. He was so into kirks guitar playing and wah use. You may as well call the the guy "Kirk hammett" reborn, Darren Arcand says. (laughs) Jordans brother showed him a G chord and how to read tabs. his first song ever learnt was "enter sandman" So after those 3 years, he met a guy named darren. he was into the same music at the time and he actually checked out jordan on youtube! i guess after darren saw it, darren kinda knew that he could form a band with this guy. well he did, and it worked until a certain period of time. Jordan and darren jammed out one night and decided just to form a band. the only problem was, they had no drummer at the time! (laughs) Well, This guy named robert came into the picture. he decided to take up drums, darrens cousin actually. he took it up just to take part with what we did. it worked out. First gig was shit! Total shit. wasn't the best. but they worked out the kinks and got things going after that. so after 4-5 months of jamming they looked for a bassist and they found one, his name was neil. he joined and he enjoyed it. but at one point he quit. cause of these factors: 1. Communication was poor 2. One guy would disagree 3. Transportation was a issue So our bassist quit. wasn't a issue back then but we still managed to work things out. We got a singer. his name was darren. he was also the guitar player. (rhythm guitar) and he did that for a period of time as well. There main influences were metallica and all them good old 80's bands. So they were doing good! really good, Until something came up. not to sure what the issue was, but something tore them apart. jordan at the time, was going a way different way, with his music, than what darren and robert were trying to do. so jordan eventually quit. So it was just 2 guys for a long time. darren had to leave for University. and all there was was the drummer. he was unsure about the band. for a long time. but one day him and darren and the bassist justin got back together and jammed. justin was a bassist after various basisst got kicked out. They went through so many bassist. its crazy ! but hey, thats band. sometimes you gotta let a guy go. So now, today. Vital, still remains. jordan is in a new band called "HammerDown" He is doing really well with his music. so is vital. vital has a full band now, so is HammerDown. So now, Jordans new band: Jordan, met a guy named jay. he played the drums. jordan kinda thought, "I wonder if i should jam with this guy and see how things go" Well turns out, jay and him got together and wrote music together. They still write. Eventually jays brother got involved. and his name was bobby and he sang. so they jammed out as a 3 piece for a good 3 months until they found a bassist in edmonton. named peter. so NOW, they got a band going and they recently got a rhythm guitarist from town a few weeks back. so now HammerDown is on a role. They have shows booked, and studio time and they are ready to blow your minds at shows. They are signed to a label called, "gutta muzik" Love&Respect, HammerDown
