Heli Kools is a multi talented singer/songwriter and a Performer originally from India. Heli Kools could have been a Business analyst sitting in a corporate office in front of PC and playing with codes and networks and languages. But she chose Music that is not limited by language or region. “We have one life and we work in our life until our 50’s at least. I didn’t want to humiliate myself for 50 years by doing something that I don’t enjoy”. - Heli Heli Kools is currently in USA but traces her heritage back to her family’s home country and her place of birth – India. Adapting the best of both worlds, she has a great appreciation for her family’s roots, but also her Indian heritage, and these influences come across in the music that she creates. Over the years Heli has been devoted to music, immersing herself in the types of music she truly loves –Indian as well as other Contemporary and Classical styles of music. Going back to the sound that she feels defines her, not only as an individual but also as an artist, Kools is taking important steps towards securing herself a prosperous future in the music industry. She is currently at Musicians Institute, LA and learning different genres. She also took training from Indian maestros and holds bachelors in Indian Classical music. She is collaborating with a number of different Indian artists on various styles. She has grown as a person, but also touched others with her sweet, soulful strains. She is also forming a Band with her best friend and a Drummer and looking forward to entertain people. Interests other than music is an awesome photographer and has some work published. “Being a girl I like to Shop a lot but my passion of traveling comes at first place and then shopping starts at a different place, new culture. Heli is fluent in two languages English and Hindi but can also sing in different Indian Regional languages. As Heli believes music has no boundaries you just need to feel. “Any thing that you can feel is Music otherwise Noise” -Heli Kools. She loves different types of music hence she has a huge list of favorite artists… Right from Bob Dylon, Tom Waits….. to Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Sukhwinder, Sonu Nigam…..Faith Hill, Opeth, Feeder, Evanescence, Muse,to The Corrs,Laura Pausini, Yahir, Kishori Amonkar……..And many more…. She also wants to sing in movies as this journey started with a dream to become a playback singer . But her music is about relationships, Love, Events of life, etc… Heli is currently devoting a big scoop of her time to concocting her own flavor of world music, with just a sprinkle of soul on top. She manages to find time to do some session work on the side, but is quite assiduously absorbed in creating her first EP. Her hope is that this will allow her to share just a small part of her world with others.
