IAMBIK was an evolution that started in 2001 and became solidified in 2006. EP was the original drummer and fell back into the position after a tour in the military. As we searched for a guitarist that wanted to move in our direction of music, EP contacted a relative named Chris that doesn’t really say much vocally. The term, stolen from the concept of an iambic pentameter in literature, is intended to describe the steady progression of the nod-factor that the audience displays during the shows. IAMBIK has been able to naturally encompass all the elements of their daily lives into their own style. The disgust of current political agendas can be heard in the rock heavy “Bushit” and by contrast, the 80’s influenced “Go Away” tells of the desire to escape a controlling relationship. Unwilling to form to current trends and expectations, IAMBIK offers a variety of sounds that appeals to mass audiences and doesn’t bore you after the third song. IAMBIK has performed in venues such as The Hard Rock, The Meridian and Jake’s. IAMBIK has been labeled “Refreshing” and “What live music is supposed to be”.
