Jay-I-Bee, one of the most profounding artist,known for his witted natural charms and unique musical style in today's industry,was inspired by David Ruffin, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley. Borned and raised in a strict gospel enviroment, Jay-I-Bee learned the importance of love at a young age and as an adult his favorite words became "I Luv U"(THE WORLD). Singing in front of large crowds with the James Brown Gospel Singers since the age of 6, he always put his heart and soul into his performances, thus being dubbed the names JB, Black Elvis, and King James, which opened the beginning of a musical journey. In 1980,Jay-I-Bee and his brothers formed a group known as the JOUS BAND which consisted of different musical sounds like funk, soul, blues, & r&b who performed with many major recording artists such as 98 Degrees, George Clinton and Mary J. Blige. They performed across the country for years,giving them an establish name in Alabama's hall of fame. Life wasn't always good to this unique & lovable artist. In 1997,Jay-I-Bee losted his wife to a sudden illness which left him to care for his 3 year old son. Life was tough during those times and he put his inspirational dreams on hold to be the father role to his son. Jay-I-Bee never stop believing in his dreams and did not give up from spreading his message of love around the world. One day while experimenting with his music, Jay-I-Bee, discovered his own musical style that he calls "Southern R&B".This music consist of love passion with sexual feelings. His songs such as "You're My Girl","Work Da Body","I Really Love U" tends to make women fall to their knees when they hear them played. Through all of his experiences in music, he wrote, performed, and produced all his songs. JAY-I-BEE states that,''love for man or woman is the natural source that we were born to do, and without love it will never be a true creation of mankind. Love can solve any situation, problem and love will mutiply if we chance it.
