	JAMES-SLATER'S BIOGRAPHY James Slater was born in Derbyshire, England and emigrated to Calgary in 2001. He writes his own material and is heavily influenced by singer/songwriters from the 1960/70’s era. Hendrix, John Mayer and Jack Johnson have also had some bearing on his style. Although a fairly accomplished guitar player his powerful voice is his instrument.
