It sure has been a while. A month or so, says our too-minimal blog list. This be your self-proclaimed writer/singer/everything-else-ist: Jordan. I have taken it upon my own dang self to write in this blog post-practice, every practice. So here comes the update.
No recording (sorry) due to the absence of our newcomer bassist Patrick. His absence is beyond his control, and as such, it's all good. He's returning August 1st and then, without further ado (or is it adieu) we bring you.. not much else. Joel is leaving on an involuntary excursion of the Mexico-bound variety. Once he gets back, this party will be on the way as... James leaves for some amount of time (He knows, I'm just not bothering to ask.) We're quite sorry, and beg your pardon, asking you (our whole 2 readers/listeners) to bear with us.
Rest assured that I'm not going on any vacation. We can all sleep at night.
Now down to business. This practice I have unveiled the name of our latest-ish song: City of Stone. City of Stone should not be confused with its original name: Science of Serenity, or our other song: Storm of the Sensory. (We had a whole skirmish over the name. Needless to say, Mat was confused.)
We also finished a long-unfinished song called VLR (that's Vive le Revolution). This song, recently realized to be reminiscent of Rush, and as such, requires my highest and belty-est of vocals, a skill resting solely on James until now.
Will Mathew ever get his license? Will Jordan finish City of Stone? Where in the world is Patrick Sullivan? Tune in next time for our exciting conclusion!
