Originally the failed-guitarist-turned-bassist for the rock n' roll band Quagmire, I started tracking my owns acoustic songs just for fun. I learned how to operate a sound board and now also record local bands in a small basement studio known as "Quag House". Of course this was after I graduated from Sound School and spent seven years establishing myself as a respectable female musician/engineer within the Winnipeg music scene. I landed a few live sound gigs at the Albert working the blues jam on Saturdays where I was allotted as many beers as I wanted for the duration of my shift and met some very fine blues musicians.
But seasonal sporadic work was just not my cup of tea. So I started to pursue establishing my small studio instead (although I still do the odd sound gig). I may not have your "top of the line" equipment (I'm a huge fan of Guerrilla recording) but I'm sure the chili pepper lights make up for it with "ambiance" and it helps make the winters go by much faster.
