The band has been in existence since the winter of 2007 and consists of four of the closest friends and tightest musicians in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band has had a very rough start when it came to finding the perfect combination of musicians that could write hit after hit as well as treat each other like a brother or sister. But after
reaching that level with each individual, Living in Red is official and isn’t changing for anybody! Each have similar writing styles but also bring unique flavors to each song to make them touch the hearts of each and every listener. Each member has had experience teaching in his/her instrument and understands what it takes to write a great song. With female vocalist Jackie Mohr writing clever lyrics backed by her powerful vocals and rhythm guitar, supplies the band with a very appealing sound to many different age groups. The masterful lead guitar work is done by Marc Girardin, who lets his fingers do the talking as well as much of the writing. With a thunderous rhythm section, including drummer, Joel Leonhardt supplies the band with heavy, driving grooves that add to the personality of each song. Dana Jerlo brings a lot of movement to the stage as well as the sweetest bass tones that make each song come to life. Living in Red is a band that strives for perfection and won’t stop until they reach the top. The determination and ambition shown from this band is unstoppable and the love that each member shares with each other and with the music they create together is like no other. The band has had its share of ups and downs, but the future of the band has never been threatened or questioned. This experienced group of young adults has a goal in mind and will stop at nothing to achieve their dreams of getting their music heard by the masses. Living in Red continues to write stronger, more diverse material – so be certain to keep listening for more from this young and talented group.
