Love&Chaos wanted to be the new dignitary’s of Glam Punk. What they ended up with is a musical vision of beauty and the beast and an unabashed stubbornness to affect their audiences with loud, fast, aggressive, but also melodically appeasing songs.
Influential artists like Placebo, A.F.I, Muse, and U2 combined with individual members infinite musical tastes create a song catalog that is as appreciated live as it is through headphones.
In 2005, the singer/songwriter, Jeffrey Holmes, came home to Peterborough, ON, after four years of global and musical wanderlust. It's here where he met Benny J Anderson. A guitarist/chef who played with other bands around town but ceaselessly stood out as a true talent in each project. Bassist and vocalist, Cole, was introduced five years prior but showed no signs of musical interest, until she performed at a local open mic show and unveiled her hidden capabilities. Mike Doherty joined on the drums recently in 2007. With furious accuracy, his talent is trained and polished.
Love&Chaos debuted with just a short, four song set, playing with well established Toronto bands, including Debaser, at the dearly missed Grassroots cafe in 2006. Through hard work, dedication (and a lot of beer, and red bull), Love&Chaos exploded with a 32 song set, a complete sound molding, and a distinctive dress code.
Almost three years on, Love&Chaos are undoubtedly executing their goals with their evolutionary and growing song catalog but continue to move forward with memorable and engaging live performances that are leaving lasting and loyal impressions.
Between trust and love. Life and shove. Bloody knees and the grit that makes us all human.
Undeniably there will always be,
Love&Chaos
