Melodic Blue

Melodic Blue was formed in March of 2008, when Lead Singer Jamie Nicholson and Bassist Steve McCarthy were presented with the opportunity to write a few tracks for an independent film. The duo jumped at the opportunity and began writing and recording immediately. The film never did make it, however the pair along with their producer decided the tunes were too good to drop so they followed through with recording and in March 2009 the band released their 5 song EP titled World II Power. To complete their line up, Jamie and Steve teamed up with some incredible musical talent such as: Drummer Jason Hagan former member of the bands Front Line Assembly and Noise Therapy, Guitarist Ray Ray Star former member of Superchief and Gastown Riots. With this much talent in one group it’s no wonder that their hard rock sound has been described as “Alice and Chains meets STP, dark and dirty yet extremely smart and radio friendly all at the same time”.
