Formed in Colleyville, Texas by drummer Matt Smith in 2007 along with vocalist Sean Torres and joined by another friend on guitar, the band played its first live show at their elementary school's talent show. The next year the 2 young rockers embarked on a mission to complete the band's line up. Bryce Bingham was found playing in a rival band and was quickly enlisted for guitar. Last year the band found a permanent bass player in Mitchell Kerbow. A guitar player by trade, Mitchell was more than willing to strap on a bass for Minor Damage. The band recently added Joey Mapula to handle the rough vocals that have become part of the band's original set.
Minor Damage ripped their way into the local music scene in 2008 all at the age of 11 with a debut performance at the Annual GrapeFest in Grapevine, TX performing just one song as part of a Rock School show. The crowd went crazy for these young rockers and Minor Damage was officially on its way to conquering the DFW area. The band soon learned enough songs to a full 90 minute set. They are versatile enough to play 2 long sets of family-friendly covers but also will do full sets of original music for their peers. The blend of Sean and Joey's chilling vocals with the twin guitar attack of Bryce and Nick all backed by the thundering rhythm section of Mitchell and Matt have been thrilling fans at each and every show. With standout tracks like "Down," Minor Damage plans on becoming a major force in the music landscape for years to come.
