Mr. Gepetto is an unsigned rock band from Fort Worth, TX with elements of Metal, Hard Rock and Alternative Rock in their playing. The band consists of highschoolers Austin Nash, Jules Hamre, Chris Abel, and Phillip Peloubet all determined to make it in music. They have played venues in Fort Worth, and Dallas, and won their first battle of the bands in February 2009. The bands mix of heavy, fast riffs, and alternative rhythms help their music easily be heard by vast audiences of different tastes. Mr. Gepetto released their first album in early 2009 including the singles “Tap” and “Shutter” and they are now at work writing their second when not gigging.
Recently Mr. Gepetto has gone on to win a 30 band Battle of the Bands called "The Next Big Thing" @ The Loft at The Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX. The prize was 20 hours studio time at Kitchen Studios in Dallas where the band recorded some old songs again as well as two new songs "Chains" and the newest single "Higher View". Mr. Gepetto also played at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX at the first annual Texas High School Rock Off that was hosted by Angela Chase from 97.1 The Eagle and the lead singer of Forever the Sickest Kids.
