Nadia Dolce, is a singer songwriter based in Montreal. Ever since she was a young girl growing up in a traditional Italian Canadian family, Nadia always knew she was going to be a pop star. Influenced by great Divas as Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, she went off to study classical vocal training at the McGill Conservatory of Music. She began singing in various pop and rock bands in addition to being a wedding singer.
Nadia later joined a girl group (Dolceamare) who began to have a local following with high potential but there would later be an unfortunate falling out. She may have lost an opportunity but inherited her nickname Dolce (aka sweet) as the serene doll that she is.
With the passion for her trade, Nadia spent day and night writing songs and learning the process of the music industry.
Adding to her list of talents, in 2010 Nadia persued acting in various plays with great reviews. The following year, Nadia won the prestigious Superfantistico Singing Competition (Italian American Idol) that sent her to perform her original song 'Believe' at the World Famous International Reggio Pop Music Festival in Italy that was held on August 28.
In 2011, Nadia met with award winning songwriter/producer Pascal Mailloux (Marjo, Nanette Workman, Marie-Chantal Toupin) and began writing and recording songs together. She recently worked with Grammy and Juno nominated sound engineer Bill Szawlowski (April Wine, Billy Idol, The Tea Party) in the finishing touches of her first solo album that will soon be available in late December as well as a music video in early 2012.
Nadia Dolce is being represented by Monteleone Management and is seeking a recording contract and/or to license her music with a reputable record label.
