Peripheral was formed in April of 2006, when guitarist Marino Manzoli and drummer Nelson Marques wanted to get a band together to perform at the St. Mike's Rock Night, which was a show their highschool does every year.
The guitarist and drummer had been jamming for a long time before they finally got together a serious band. The two managed to recruit vocalist Brandon Sousa and bassist Dan Italiano, and Peripheral performed at Rock Night. Though Peripheral had only jammed a few times, the gig was a success, and Peripheral was born.
The band quickly received the reptutation as a hard rockin' band that likes to rip out songs that can rock your socks off. Peripheral has a mix of styles, consisting of bands like Audioslave, Pink Floyd, Rush and Led Zeppelin. The band has many influences from the classic rock era.
The band played a few more gigs before bassist Dan Italiano decided that he would keep his commitment to his original band, The Aftermath. Soon after Dan left, Peripheral recruited Chris Ferrazutti as their new bass player. The band would later decide to let Brandon go to find a band that better suited his style. They recruited Mike Cowan as their new vocalist. After the newly reformed band played their first show together, Chris Ferrazzutti decided that he did not fit the band any longer and left. Thus followed the glorious return of Dan Italiano, who finally decided that he should be a permanent member of the band.
