“This is the only band you’ll ever need to hear”: that’s what fans are telling each other after they see Prescription For Protest live. Anyone who's worked with the group have called them catchy, eclectic, entertaining, energetic, solid, melodic, and extremely innovative, not to mention full of potential. Once you hire these guys, you’ll learn that the musicians that form this band are talented. You’ll realize that if you don’t take a minute to listen to what this band has to offer, you’re missing out.
You wouldn’t be wrong.
The guys in Prescription For Protest live by two words: “art matters”. Consisting of Jason Grey (lead vocals/guitar), Justin Robinson (bass/vocals/keyboards), and Dillon Lafrance (drums/vocals), Prescription For Protest (Rx) combine elements of hardcore, screamo, rock, and indie sounds with happy melodies and Queen-worthy vocal harmonies to re-invent what they’ve always wanted to hear. With an intense and energetic live show, fans are sure to remember the three guys that were so determined to entertain that walls were climbed and crowds became choirs. Their music concentrates on solid, honest songwriting, striving for both content and catchiness, and paired with the cabin-fever urgency of their live show, it’s sure to please. It’s clear to see how they’ve worked with artists such as Hello Operator, The Salads, Flatlined, and Faber Drive.
Rx recorded and produced their EP Remembering August in only four days, after driving seven hours in a shaky van, sleeping in a horror movie-inspired motel, and surviving on microwave food. Their dedication, creativity, and love for art separate them from any other indie artist. The group are pushing forward knowing that music is not just a job or career; it’s a lifestyle.
Art matters. Live it.
