Quantum Singularity was started in 2010 by 3 friends under the name "Dark Ryder". Guitarist-Singer Luc Angelo Finney , Bassist Indiana Finney and Drummer Adam Stone. Inspired by Metallica, Dream Theater, Trivium, Pink Floyd and Tool, they began writing music. The three played their first show on September 18th at The Atria as part of the Supernova Hysteria concert series, playing 4 original songs and 2 covers to an almost empty room. After their drummer lost interest, they began searching for a drummer to fit the bill. Talented Alexi Laiho disciple Britain Flagg joined in early 2011 in the rhythm Guitar position while the band continued to search for a drummer, with Britain acting as a temporary drummer.
In the Spring of 2011, Flagg dropped out of the band due personal issues, having not played a single gig.
As a new chapter in the expanding novel of Dark Ryder, Austin Chappell has taken up drums in the band. And left, the same day as their first concert together.

Darren Evans joined Quantum Singularity in the summer of 2011 as drummer extraordinaire. He will be playing for the first time live with Luc and Indy at the Band on the Run show in Oshawa, Ont. on May 25, 2012. Best Luck!
