Three guys making music. The Rivived started out at the Notre Dame Talent Show. Three friends; Connor Kelly, Kyle LeBlanc, and Andre Chiasson came together to form a band to play the song "Woman" by Wolfmother at the Talent Show. The original line up of this was Vocals: Bryndan Boonstra (of Ossified), Guitar: Andre Chiasson and Connor Kelly, Drums: Kyle LeBlanc. Soon after the show Connor switched to the bass guitar, and Kyle switched to lead guitar. The band cycled through some drummers until they came across a friend from school; Josh Currie. The band played a few shows with this line up, then putting Andre as the lead singer. After a few shows with this line up, Andre left the band.
Months went by without a vocalist. There was no one that could fit the band. In early August of '08, days before two upcoming shows, Kyle stepped up to take on the lead vocal position. The band played as a trio for a long time, playing both covers and writing original material. The band temporarily adapted Nick Hodkinson for vocals, but swiftly went back to the trio line-up, as it just felt right.
