SOLIDRED

SOLIDRED (solid red) is a 4 piece band that mixes Rock, Ska/Reggae, Alternative, Blues and at times a bit of everything else. Two cousins; Danny Schultz and Brent Doiron had been singing together and individually for years. Dave C Montgomery met up with the pair looking for someone to jam with and next they were playing some original songs for friends in backyards and coffee shops - starting off as an acoustic guitar and hand drum act. Soon after the band fell into place when local friend Dave Heron joined on bass guitar. With the addition of an acoustic bass guitar and a drum kit their sound began to develop and more original music was created. With the two cousin’s distinctive and complimenting voices over guitar riffs, combined with the two Dave’s hip-hop and metal infused rhythm section, a sound began to take shape that they could truly call their own. The backyard parties grew larger and the band made their way from there into the Vancouver music scene. They have shared the stage with some great local bands and played at some great venues.
