In THE CAPITAL, at the Capital

The New Capital Music Hall managed to get bands off to a blistering start at this weekend’s indie showcase thanks to openers 'Alibi', who ended up taking 3rd overall when it was all over.
They were followed by the infamous 'Left of Center', delivering on their promise of hardcore riffs and piercing vocals despite their somewhat shorter set time the guys managed to pull out a great set.
The youngest band at the show, 'Point of no Return', awed everyone in the room, including yours truly, with a set that was tight beyond their years.
'The Tragedy Within' then proceeded to electrify their fans as their lead singer jumped onto and off of amps while managing to sing in key.
'Open Stitches', who were not competing but appeared by special invitation, delivered their usual fare of terrific hardcore. 'Pushing Perfection', 'Celledora' and 'Tantum' took up the mantle to occupy the middle slots at the show.
They were followed by the technically gifted 'Mirage' and 'Your Portrait Here', who eventually took fourth place in the contest.
The house was still packed as co-headliners 'EZ3' and 'Tympanic' rounded off the night, impressing the judges to the tune of 2nd and 1st place respectively.
