Band on the Run Western FINALIST!
The top finalists from Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary played last weekend at The Bluff in Kelowna on a massive 100 ft. stage. Each band were judged upon the following criteria’s: Musicianship, Stage Presence, Song Writing and Originality. The grand prize winner will receive a 3-song demo recorded at Sky Z Limit recordings in Kelowna B.C. as well the bragging rights in their respective city.

• METHODICAL BREED (Edmonton)
With a combination of metal and hardcore influence they have a unique but familiar sound. Stimulating lyrics armed with progressive/aggressive guitars lines, are truly an assault on the system. All with various backgrounds in instruments ranging from self taught to the scholastic enthusiast. Blended together they create a sound that is equally deranged as it is sane.
This five piece ensemble has been together for almost two years. With a western Canadian tour in the works and a three song EP and a follow-up CD to be released in the fall this band is ready to tour...everywhere.
Formed in summer 2003 there was one goal, to orchestrate and execute a unique sound. Two years later it's turned into a self sufficient juggernaut and we are on the road to making it a full time career. As musicians we have Shared the stage with bands like Savannah, Broken Nose, Breach of Trust and Chunk. Methodical Breed has also had the privilege of headlining 'The Longest Hockey Game in the World.' We were proud to be a part of this world record breaking outdoor winter event. This particular event raised a substantial amount for the Cross-Cancer Institute.
