Supernova would love to thank all the people and bands that came out to an astonishing show on October 21st 2006 at the El Macombo. R.O.A headlined the El Mocambo for their second time. And for the second time, they owned the room. Their set was blistering and tight. The room was on fire and the pit was packed. Starting the night off, one-man, Lachrymal Qiuietus created a wonderful atmosphere for the rest of the night with an acoustic set. The room filled as The Sound took hearts away with them. Third, Loyalist went for Justin Timberlake's “Cry Me a River” and nailed it! Makeshift Wings took a powerful stand on stage leaving everyone stunned with a great cover of Silverstien… jaws dropped! With one male surrounded by 3 sweet ladies, You are Wrong played some classics and made the audience scream for more. A Storybook Murder started roar for the night and did it very well with lots of energy. Up next after that, Stalinggrad made quite an opening with their powerful notes. With an outstanding beat, Epik brought the crowd to a coaster that you never want to get off of. Given a warm welcome Internal Rhythms did rhythm with their head-bobbing beat and fed the hungry crowd with some Hendrix. Formulated Fame warmed the stage with spectacular grace, which lead into ROA who turned all heads to their direction. Dogwater made a great impression, taking first place with their beautiful and energetic music. Later in the night everyone was cheering on Beneath the Skin because of their incredible stage presence. Mittens brought out the fun in all of us with bouncing songs. They took home 2nd place! The perfect night ended well with Hard Shell Invader. They had an outstanding conclusion: “Brilliant.” Again, thank you El Macombo for the space and good job to all the bands and congratulations to the winners. Hope to see you all at the next show.
