The show at the Underground Nightclub in Calgary on Dec.17th was an amazing one!! It turns out that most of the bands were from out of town which brought a whole new dynamic to the show! To kick off the night we had the Minutia Conspiracy play a killer set. These guys always know how to draw a crowd to the front of the stage and get them pumped for the rest of the bands. Asthenia was next, and they did not dissapoint in the least. They got the crowd singing along with their catchy pop-punk riffs and awesome melodies, it turned out to be a perfect segway into the next band, Tavia. These guys brought a whole new level of rock to the show, and had the crowd wanting more. Following them was Uptight Epileptic. This all-girl quartet brought their talent to the stage with a huge crowd chanting their name before and after their set. Tetris Van were up next and they caught everyone's attention by starting off their set with a Green Day cover, making everyone sing along. Hazards of Society blew everyone away and gained a lot of new fans. Birds of Paradise changed things up a bit, focusing on guitar riffs and melodies, they made everyone stop and stare. Up next we had our headliner of the evening!!!!! a local act by the name of CHYSHUGA. They burst onto the stage with energy that had yet to be seen in the show. Captivating everyone in the room with strong vocals and very distinctive guitar, bass, and drum parts. Each part catchy in its own way, made their set fly by and made everyone want more. You could tell by the massive line-up at their merch table long after their set was done. They were definately in their element. After Chyshuga we had Fornever!!! having recently recorded a demo these guys were eger to have their stuff heard, and the fans were eger to hear it as well. Newborn followed Fornever, and changed up the style a bit. They changed the mood of the night into a great straight up rock and roll mood. Bravado finished off the night with stellar heavy metal guitar riffs. All in all the show at the Underground Nightclub was a huge success!!!
