420 weekend in Toronto was quite the trip… Friday, April 20th, El Mocambo: Congratulations to the winners: 1st Place: Hallucinogenius (Funk/Rock/Alternative) 2nd Place: Honest Disillusion (Metal/Hardcore) We’ll see both bands at the Toronto Band on the Run Semi-Finals on June 1st! Fresh Band Alert: Featured band of the night, The Third Axis (Progressive Rock), has some seriously dedicated fans – and so they should! Our production team thinks every band member is just oozing with talent… plus, they are brilliant to work with. Something You Didn’t Know: Our 2nd place band of the night, Honest Disillusion (formerly New Ways to Bleed) has participated in two Supernova events to date and won both! Winners, you still need to pick up their gift certificates for Roach-O-Rama! Get in touch so we can get them to you! Saturday, April 21st, El Mocambo: Congratulations to the winners: 1st Place: Imbued (Metal) 2nd Place: Jeff Baker and the Accidental Heroes (Funk/Rock) Both bands will be moving to the Toronto Band on the Run Semi-Finals on June 1st! Fresh Band Alert: Anarchy Within Mythology (Thrash Metal) played their first show with us and proved to be a band to keep on the radar. Looking forward to seeing more from them! As well, Episodic Aggression (Hardcore) wowed the audience with their crazy stage antics, proving to everyone exactly why they won first place when Johnny Truant hit St. Catharines back in February! Hope you guys had a grand time! Something You Didn’t Know: All of the rock and metal bands of the competition didn’t faze Tok’n (Hip-hop) in the slightest! Got something to say?
