Hard Rock for the winners in Winnipeg Saturday, May 5th, 2007 - Red Road Lodge 1st Place: Silence Is Deafening (Metal) 2nd Place: Catfish Jones (Rock) 3rd Place: Dark Destruction (Metal) It was a great show in Winnipeg, MB, on Saturday May 5th! Local indie bands graced the stage of Red Road Lodge, each fearlessly battling for recording hours and a pass into the Supernova's Band on the Run Finals in June! Silence Is Deafening took home first prize with their screaming antics and jumpy personas that the crowd loved. They won five recording hours at Studio 11 as well as an Advance to the Finals on Saturday, June 16th, 2007, at Red Road Lodge! Catfish Jones, a band of four guys who just want to spread the word of youth and to “uncover the truth” took home second prize of three hours of recording courtesy of Studio 11. They also Advance to the Band on the Run Finals alongside Silence is Deafening! Finally, third place went to Dark Destruction, a four-piece metal band with good guitar riffs, excellent drums and stage presence that captured the audience! They too went home with three hours of recording from Studio 11 and Advance to the Band on the Run Finals. If you missed these bands over the weekend, be sure to catch them at the Finals in June!
