A Night of Celebration in Ottawa!

First Place: Saved By Sin (Metal)
Second Place: Rynoh (Rock)
There was an obvious buzz at Mavericks in Ottawa when nine of Supernova’s indie bands took the stage Saturday night! Not only were the Senators going to take home a 3-2 win in overtime over the Buffalo Sabres, but another victory was about to take place!
Winning first place is quite an accomplishment, for the prize package is pretty incredible! Saved By Sin, a metal loving band from Cornwall, won 10 hours of recording time at Audio Valley Recording Studio and a 2-hour photoshoot courtesy of Ben Guthrie Photography. Not only that, but they will also advance to the Ottawa Band on the Run Finals!
Second place winner was Rynoh, an Ottawa native rock band that lives for the stage. A positive for them that worked in their favour! They won the coveted advancement to the Band on the Run Finals along with Saved By Sin!
One more band from this show will advance to the Ottawa Finals in June. If your favourite band didn’t place and you think they have what it takes to compete in the Band on the Run competition, go here now and vote for them!
The Band on the Run Finals for the Ottawa competitors will take place June 23rd, 2007, at The New Capital Music Hall (128 York – take the rear entrance!). Grand Prize of this final battle will include an abundance of fantastic prizes, so get your voices and fingers ready for competing! The Ottawa Band on the Run champ will receive a headlining show at Reverb and Holy Joe’s in Toronto, Ontario, a merch package from Clickity Clank Music Bank which includes branding and logo design, plus t-shirts from Deko Merch!
