Silent Virtue

We're Silent Virtue... We formed back in early 2006 and started off as just Nick and Bobby. We're out to show the world a mixture of music that has only been properly introduced a couple of times and we feel it is not appreciated enough. We hope to combine lulling melodies and heart-pounding rhythm with the ever popular punk style. We hope to create a style of music through this mixture that is not affected by stereotypes that anyone can listen to and love the music itself. Nick, our Lead Guitarist, is one of the founders of Silent Virtue. Along with Bobby, Nick writes and contributes half of the songs that belong to the band instrumentally and vocally. He mainly writes both the Lead and Rhythm Guitar parts for each song. Influenced by both metal and punk, he contributes the darker and more hardcore side to the blend of Silent Virtue’s genre, often resulting in fast riffs and a heavier feel. Being self-taught in Lead Guitar since early 2006, Nick often follows his own rules in music leading to interesting rhythms, riffs, and time signatures while still having knowledge of how to write. He spends much of his spare time learning new songs everywhere from punk to metal and improving his abilities with such artists as Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, and Sum 41.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bobby, our Bassist, also sings backup for a deeper feel, and plays Piano for the songs that contain a piano part. Along with Nick, Bobby founded Silent Virtue, writes and contributes half of the songs that belong to the band instrumentally and lyrical as well as the musical vocal part. He writes Lead Guitar parts, Rhythm Guitar parts, and mainly all Bass Guitar and Piano parts. Influenced by mainly punk, Bobby contributes the punkish blend to Silent Virtue's songs that adds fast, catchy riffs, and fast, steady beats that blend with the fast heavier riffs of the metal and hardcore influence. Bobby is self taught in Bass Guitar, Guitar, and Piano with great musical knowledge. He spends much of his spare time exploring and creating new riffs, as prefered over learning other songs, which is a different technique of improving abilities. His Bass parts are much faster than those in any other genre, and mimick guitar speeds, creating a new way of playing Bass Guitar. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris, our Rhythm Guitarist, was the first member aquired by Bobby and Nick following the creation of Silent Virtue, making him the third member of the band to join. He had played guitar years before, but stopped playing, only to pick it up again recently due to joining the band, trying to retain his skills from years before to contribute the backup guitar parts vital to Silent Virtue's songs. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shane, our drummer, was recently added to our band ending our drummer search, giving us more than we expected. He's the backbone of our music and creates the drum parts to all the songs, which consist of various beats and rhythms that enhance the music and develop the feel for the song such as double bass to maintain the hardcore aspect of our music. He also keeps the rest of the band focused, considering that Bobby and Nick have a high tendency to get distracted easily.
