Jonah Source Phillip is a new emerging Canadian Recording Artist. The name originated when he was 15 attending elemntary school when he first started writing lyrics with real concepts. One of the first songs that inspired him to write was "Two Of America's Most Wanted By 2pac". Jonah's ability to express himself and put words together came naturally. He later capitalized on his talent and started recording at his friends house who produced songs who went by the name of Merchant Beats. Merchant would then play the role of Jonah's leading producer, at this time his craft had improved drastically. At this point Source wanted to be more hands-on with his own music so he bought his own equipment and started producing songs himself.
Source is now into performing and has worked with companies like Supernova. He performed along side his friend for Supernova's (Showdown 2011 edition at Smiling Buddha) for his first time and felt he won with ease. He has recorded with Epik Productions as one of the perks of been victorious with his previous performance. After winning at Smiling Buddha, they were automatically enrolled into the Finals which is taking place at Velvet Underground, March. 3rd, 2012 and is currently preparing new material for it.
Jonah feels that his creations capture vivid moments in time and it is really important to him that his material is honest. "When ever I listen to older songs of mine it's over whelming for me because i can't believe I was able to capture the moment so precisely and it brings back memories" he says. Source is now ready to take his music to the next level to show everyone that he is a force to be reckoned with.
