Spinning Room

Spinning Room is hot new band derived from north of the border featuring Musicians Jon Roper, Frank Baker, & Ed Maxwell. This progressive rock band has only recently formed but is backed by years of success. As long time friends who first met randomly at VCC, a progressive music school in downtown Vancouver, BC, Frank, Jon and Ed climbed to the top of the rock scene together headlining in bands across North America and Internationally. They later moved on to other projects. Frank working with #1 Billboard recording artist Nick Gilder and International recording artist Kaveh Yaghmaei. Jon, one of the most sought after guitar players in Vancouver recently returned from a session with up & coming band Spygirl, working with international producer / mixer, Tom Rothrock whose discography includes the likes of Beck, Sloan, Foo Fighters, and James Blunt. Ed now based in Los Angeles has an outstanding background in the SoCal music scene touring and recording with an impressive list of LA based bands including MySpace Records/DGC artist Meiko. Also Gary Jules, American singer/songwriter whose music has been used on many popular TV shows and most recently in the Xbox commercial for the game 'Gears of war' . United once again, the debut, self tilted album Spinning Room combines Jon's powerhouse voice, Franks soaring rhythms, and Ed's driving bass sounds that excites people. They are great to listen to and fun to watch. With back-to-basics rock mixed with amazing performances, this band is ready for the new generation of fans. Jon, Frank, & Ed's experience would take them to playing some of North America's largest venues, playing to crowds of more than 50,000. Having been the strong backbone to so many great bands, Jon, Frank, & Ed have decided to come forward and create Spinning Room.
