Sunday Afterthought

Something a little less Deadly
Forming together in mid-August of 2007, Sunday Afterthought almost immediately rocketed a fan base after playing their first show at a crowded bar in Thunder Bay. With the old keyboardist from Wishful Sinful as their new lead singer, guitarist and bassist from Beautiful Wasteland, and second guitarist from Gone By Morning; it was easy to fall in love with the sights and sounds of this new developed creation. The name was pieced together by the name from one of their songs, which was initially called Sunday Afterthought. (Meaning those not-so-splendid feelings you get the morning after...) The suggestion arose of using the song title as the band name instead; giving listeners something to think about. Together, the members of Sunday Afterthought will not only begin your most favorited musical experience...they will finish it.

What is the first song you learned to play?
One of our origionals: Through your Eyes
As a band or artist, what has been your biggest challenge so far?
Personally as a singer, my biggest challenge being in a band was to overcome the feeling of inferiority. It was difficult starting out, mainly because I was the only female, and needed to adjust to the dominating male aura. The main challenge was understanding that I not only needed to lead the band in vocals, but I was also the main figure that people look to for entertainment. I like to feel equal with the rest of my band mates, so I make an effort to make their presence just as well known. (Not like that is ever much of a challenge...heh.)
Who are your influences?
Taking Back Sunday, Every Time I Die, Butch Walker, Dashboard Confessional, Foo Fighters
How do you prepare for a gig?
We find it easiest to prepare for a gig (no matter the size) by simply being in each other's company, and having optimistic thoughts of any outcome. It is the element of being able to create something and perform it together that keeps our cool and prepares us for a night of sheer entertainment.
