Supertest

Supertest was formed in May 2009. Luigi and Patrick Casole, along with cousin Michael Licandro, decided to put their musical talents to the test and try to form a decent band. The boys recruited guitarist Michael Menecola to play bass. Mike played guitar before the band was formed and he faithfully put down his guitar to pick up and learn the bass. This was a step in the right direction for the band as Mike proved to be just what the band needed. The legacy of the band was beginning to unfold. With the line-up set, the guys decided they needed a name. Looking no further than the antique gas station sign stashed behind the drum set, Supertest was born. Supertest spent several months working hard to put together some originals. Once they felt tight enough as a band, they decided to play some live shows to see what they could do in front of a crowd. Achieving a greater turnout at every show, they started feeling more confident on stage and Supertest decided to begin their focus on stage presence. After many band practices and events in their local area, They managed to put together a killer set, and a few brand new songs, in which they unveiled with great reviews at the Sound Academy on June 11th, 2010. Unfortunately, Supertest’s set was cut short, but they did establish one thing. Upon announcement of the outrageous wrong that was being done to them, the crowd chanted their name. The four boys looked at each-other and it was precisely at this moment that Supertest knew they had something. They knew that these fans wanted to see THEM. They wanted to see SUPERTEST Since then, Supertest has performed at the Opera House, in which they got the opportunity to speak to reps from such labels as Road Runner Records and Underground Operations. They have also performed at a fund-raiser for a charity called Team Rocco. This charity supports people living with ALS. It was an honor for the band to support such a great cause, doing what they do best. Recently, Supertest has been in the studio since early November, working on their 5 song EP.
