(view more) [View All Blog Entries] About The Rigormorticians The Rigormoriticians; Re-Agent, Voodoo curse, a book that summons the vengeful dead? No one can be sure where they came from, but two years ago The Rigormorticians clawed their way into the Calgary music scene; bloody and shouting of night terrors, zombies and other frightful tales. Since their conception, The Rigormorticians have grown to create a Frankenstein-esque sound that borrows styles from punk and rockabilly and blends guitar licks that turn even the metal heads. Though the band has seen some members ask for refunds on their undeath, they are filled with as much undead vigor as ever. Fronted by the ever present Mr. Mortician and backed in his post mortem caterwauling by Fiendish McKillsalot on drums, Spooky Spenny ..s, The Belle From Hell on bass and The Axeman of Suburbia on lead guitar. An evening with the Rigormorticians promises to be a beer killing, zombie swilling good time. In February 2008 The Rigormorticians teamed up with Casey Lewis at Echobase Calgary to release their first E.P. "Gravediggin' With Sexy Results." The E.P. was well received by those who were able to get their bloody hands on it. The band is planning to record the follow up L.P. in late 2008 - mid 2009. Until then The Rigormorticians will continue their zombie seige on Calgary and bring their bloody gore, open sores and infectious music into western Canada.
