Tyrant

Tyrant is a metal act from Gibbons Alberta.After playing a show at the Nest, a bar in Edmonton, Tyrant added a new rhythm guitarist (Mitchell),complete their sound. The band continued with this lineup and went on to win the city finals in Edmonton for supernova. After various shows, their original singer left the band and the spot was filled by vocalist Brett Reid. Tyrant's first show with their new vocalist won them a grand prize of 1000 dollars. Tyrant co-headlined Edmonton's Metalfest 2011 at the avenue theater with Edmonton Metal act All Else Fails, and just recently played at the Boonstock music festival, alongside bands ranging from local to big bill acts such as A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, Five Finger Death Punch, and Trooper. Tyrant just finished recording their brand new EP with Barrett Klesko from All Else Fails, and is currently in the final design stages.
