Biography

Unleash The Archers is a four piece metal band currently hailing out of Vancouver BC. Formed in late 2007, the band is heavily influenced by all metal genres, and incorporates elements of power metal, melodic death metal, thrash and metalcore into their music. They have worked diligently over the last three years to create a niche for themselves in the west coast metal scene, as well as build a fan base in the prairies and eastern Canada. Being fronted by a female singer adds to their distinctive sound, and their energy on and off stage captivates listeners of all musical tastes. Their professionalism has been honed by several western Canadian tours as well as two cross Canada tours, and they've gained great experience through sharing the stage with big names like Dismember, Toxic Holocaust, 3 Inches of Blood, Augury and Stratovarius. In August 2009 Unleash The Archers released their first full studio album titled 'Behold The Devastation', recorded by Jason Martin of OmegaMediaCore Studios in Richmond BC. The album features artwork by JP Fournier (Immortal, Dragonforce, Edguy, etc;) and is comprised of eight gripping tracks, all written over their first two years as a band. Future plans for the band include a new album, to be released in May 2011. In addition, a full cross Canada tour, and perhaps a US tour in Fall 2011 are being planned in support of the new album. Feel free to add them on facebook to keep up to date with tour news and events! http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/UnleashTheArchers?ref=ts

On the flip side, CMW ( Canadian Indy Music Awards ) consider Voivod, 3 Inches Of Blood, Protest The Hero etc to be independant. (apparently being on Roadrunner means you are indy?) Not sure where that 'line' is drawn or what different associations consider to be independant or not. That being said, UTA made the Top 50 and we are 100% financed and managed from within the band. So they are definately looking at some other factors than whether you are connected to CFOX or whatever..

Congrats on Top 50 guys! I am really impressed with your work. Fantastic hardcore/death metal! I'm a big fan of this genre and you're one of the best independent bands I've ever heard. Much luck and future success.
