Lips was formed in May of 2010 by Dan Birt (Guitar/Lead Vocals) and shifted through several lineup changes before the addition of Phoenix Tapley (Drums) in July of that same year. The band continued on a rocky path for several more months until the arrival of Dave Pearsall (Bass/Vocals) in late December (2010) finally stabilizing the lineup. Back to Basics has since become a force to be reckoned with as they present a powerful mix of Classic / Blues Rock and Modern Country.
To date; Lips have done a handful of performances in Kingston and has become a force to be reckoned with in terms of stage presence and musical ability. The band currently performs two 45 minute sets (with a third fast in the making) and has begun to take the local music scene by storm.
