Tom also produced artists such as Long John Baldy, John Lee Hooker and Susan Jacks and composed several feature film soundtracks. Blue Wave featured an API console and one of the best microphone collections available and quickly outgrew the Kitsilano location. Moving to its present day location at 34 West 8th Avenue, Lavin spared no expense building a brand new studio from the ground up with serious considerations given to acoustic design, space and functionality.

Studio, Engineer and Producer nominations for ECMA and MNS awards have been a common occurrence.
Nominations and victories for artists who have brought their projects to FMP have been received from ECMA, MNS, CCMA and MAJA Awards. Some recent successes include “United Breaks Guitars” which was co-produced at FMP with Dave Carroll.
The subsequent video has gone on to be officially ranked by Google as one of the top 5 most influential You Tube videos of all time and has had over 10,000,000 views.
Also of note is Ryan Cook's sophomore release “ Peaks and Valleys” which was recorded between Nashville and FMP and was co-produced, mixed and mastered by
