Beyond Purgatory

Back in grade 9, Sean Best (guitarist) and Brad Bastien (drummer), met up through a friend and began jamming. It was nothing sereious, just for something to do. Sean had a cheap Fender guitar, and Brad had a lousy Peavy drum set. They both had minimal musical experience, but they kept at it, never really taking playing music sereiously. Fast forward to the end of the summer of 2007, Brad and Sean decide to start taking music sereiously. They start jamming on a more regular bassis, and start to develop alot more skill on their instruments. Picking up better equipment to play on, gave them the right tools to begin making some serious music. Then, skip to the summer of 2008. They begin jamming with a guy named Brian Leslie. They noticed his talent of screaming, from hearing him yell at kids in the hallways. They asked him to jam, and in August he joined the band. Learing some Lamb Of God covers, made them realize each others talents, and really enabled then to get things going, developing their musical style. In December of 2008, they played their first gig infront of the school. It went alright, but they were motivated to play even harder the next time. They step up their intencity, and really buckle down, practicing nearly everday, and beginning to write originals, being done with covers. They played at their school again in January, and this time putting on a show. After playing this show some phenom player dude,named cole, asked if he could jam with the metal-tonic trio. they accepted and after a summer of jamming finaly inducted cole into the band Now, the band is complete, and working harder then ever; being ready to take on any challenge. Beyond Purgatory is going to bring some fuckin heat to the world of metal.
