Blame The Television is a four piece pop-punk outfit out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After playing their first 3 shows, 3 days in a row, only 3 weeks after becoming a full band, they quickly became known for their “go, go, go” mentality. Since their whirlwind start, the boys have been playing steady gigs around town and even venturing as far as Selkirk in pursuit of elevating their already contagious live show.
“When people see us live”, front man Jared Kist says, “I want them to have fun, I want them to move and sing the words back. But at the same time I want them to become just as emotionally attached to the music as we are”.
Having played with some of Winnipeg’s biggest acts already, such as; High Five Drive, Mike Burnard, Take Me To The Pilot, The Revival, and The Me Monster, the guys have had a chance to learn the tricks of the trade and develop their fan base.
With this impressive amount of shows under their belts, the band is now focusing on getting their musical ideas onto CD and into the hands of their many followers. Excitement is growing as pre-production is well under way and the creative juices are flowing. With a spring 2010 release of their debut EP and a summer supporting tour, Blame the Television is quickly making a name for themselves and promise to hold strong to their “go, go, go” attitude.
